About The Art of Spectacle
The Art of Spectacle was a major interdisciplinary performance festival featuring dance, music, theatre and the visual arts. The participating Artists from Los Angeles and New York (including Glenn Branca, Remy Charlip, Ping Chong, Lin Hixson, Robert Longo, Rachel Rosenthal and Carl Stone) were among the most innovative in the country. THeir diverse artistic expressions exemplified the direction of performance art in the 80's.
