PERFORMANCES, INSTALLATIONS, VIDEOS, FILM AND MORE, BY CALARTS STUDENTS WHO BRING HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD INTO THEIR ART AND THEIR ART INTO HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD.  SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AT LACE UNLESS SPECIFIED.

12:00 am – 8:00 pm | Gnawing in the Belly of the Dragon, Watching Hollywood Burn
50 public aesthetic experiments

12:00 pm – 1:30 pm | Luncheon at LACE
An experimental happening in which lunch, featuring food and drink from the boulevard, will be served to 8 invited members of the Hollywood community. By invitation only.

3:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Bridge
Four bridge enthusiasts will be playing bridge throughout the afternoon. Open card participation is welcome.

4:00 pm | I’m Melting
Several hundred pounds of ice will be melting, revealing secret messages, in scattered locations on the Boulevard between Wilcox and Whitley Avenue.

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Dust Jacket Signing
A book signing for an absent book illustrating the disappearance of booksellers on the Boulevard.

A audience activated LED pedestrian dance weaving from the Boulevard to the gallery.

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm | The Emancipation Jazz! Society
9 piece jazz band (Oliver Newell, Founder, Electric Bass; Matt Mayhall, Drum Kit; Amino Belyamani, Electric Keyboards; Jon Armstrong, Bari-Toned Saxaphone; Chris Payne, Percussion; Blake Lyman, Woodwinds; Clinton Patterson, Brass; Josh Mellinger, Noise; and Brian Walsh, Tenor)

7:15 pm | Water, Milk, Black Velvet
A seven minute 16mm film, reflecting on the spectacle of Hollywood cinema, and featuring an archaic special effect.
