Artist's Biography

Kristi Lippire has shown with den contemporary art in Culver City, Ace Gallery in Los Angeles and had a solo show last year at the Riverside Art Museum. She has also participated and organized multiple gorilla art projects in Los Angeles and Mexico and is currently working on a collaborative project at the Claremont Museum of Art. Kristi Lippire will be part of the traveling exhibition Alexander Calder and Contemporary Art at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago that will open Summer of 2010.  Lippire has her undergraduate degree from California State University Long Beach and her graduate degree from Claremont Graduate University. Lippire lives and works in Los Angeles.



Curator's Biography

Matt Wardell is an artist and curator living in Los Angeles.  Wardell is founding member of the artist collective 10lb Ape (The Pound Ape).  Wardell has shown work at REDCAT, Black Dragon Society, 16:1 Gallery, SFMOMA, among others.  Recent excursions include a solo project in Mexicali (Baja California, Mexico) and a Ten Pound Ape project at the Claremont Museum of Art.
