Artist's Biography
Yanai Toister is an Israeli artist who lives and works both in Los Angeles, CA and Tel Aviv, Israel. He received his MFA in 2006 from the California Institute of the Arts and his BFA Cum Laude from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. He has exhibited in solo shows at Whitespace, Zurich, Switzerland (2008), Sandroni Rey, Los Angeles, CA (2007), Visible Color Series, Sandroni Rey, Los Angeles, CA (2006), Register of Facts, Tal Esther Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel (2005), and Jerusalem Syndrome, Artists' Studios Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel (2003). He has also been featured in group shows with Bolsky Gallery, Otis College of Art and Design, the 11th international Architecture Exhibition in the Venice Biennial (2008) and Obsessions, Maison Européenne de la Photographie (2008).
Curator's Biography
Phil Chang received his MFA from CalArts. His work has been exhibited in Los Angeles and New York. He is currently a visiting lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles, and at Otis College of Art and Design. Chang lives and works in Los Angeles.
